The free Agenda Hero app for iPhone and Android turns the schedules you get from flyers, screenshots, PDFs, and messages into calendar events. Add them one at a time or all at once to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or your Agenda Hero calendars, without ever leaving the app.
Why get every schedule into your calendar?
Schedules show up everywhere: on flyers around your community, in WhatsApp threads, and in apps that don't talk to your calendar. The soccer season comes on a flyer. The school play is in a newsletter. The time change is a message from the coach in a group chat. Each one lands somewhere different, and none of them land in your calendar.
So someone has to carry it all: reading every flyer, typing in every date, and remembering the ones that never got typed in. It's invisible work, and it adds up.
That's why we rebuilt the Agenda Hero app from the ground up, so it takes that work off your plate. The biggest change is that your events now go straight to your calendar, right from the app.
- No more retyping: A whole season goes in at once, not one game at a time.
- Nothing lost in translation: Dates, times, and places come from the schedule itself, and you review them before they're added.
- One view of your life: The kids' games, school events, and your own plans sit side by side in the calendar you already use.
- It keeps up: Connect through Google or Apple Calendar, a calendar feed, or a calendar invite, and changes come through automatically.
- It's on your phone, where schedules show up: Share a schedule straight from WhatsApp, email, or your photos.
How do I turn a schedule into calendar events on my iPhone?
- Download Agenda Hero from the App Store: iOS and Android. Already have it? Update to the latest version.
- Click “+ Add Image” to upload your schedule. Take a photo of a flyer, upload a screenshot or PDF, or paste the text.
- Provide context: In the text box, tell Agenda Hero to prefix titles, exclude certain things or that events repeat.
- Click “Create” to see the magic happen.
- Review your events and fix anything that needs it.
- Add them to your calendar, one at a time or all at once: Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or an Agenda Hero calendar.
Can I add events from WhatsApp, email, or my kids' team apps?
Yes, you can send a schedule straight to Agenda Hero from other apps on your iPhone using the Share button.
- Find the schedule in the app it came in, like WhatsApp, email, or your photos.
- Tap Share. It's usually a square with an arrow pointing up.
- Tap Agenda Hero. Don't see it? Swipe left on the row of apps and tap More.
- Agenda Hero opens with your schedule, ready to turn into calendar events.
If an app doesn't have a Share button, take a screenshot, then share it from your Photos app.
A few places schedules come from: A school newsletter, a community flyer on social media, a message from the coach with a time change.
Does it work with Google Calendar and Apple Calendar?
Yes. You can add events to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or your Agenda Hero calendars. How you add them decides whether they update when the schedule changes.
Here's why: Calendars are trickier than they look, and people have been trying to make them work together for a long time. Google, Apple, and Outlook each have their own rules for how events get in and whether they can change later. Those rules belong to them, not us, so the same event can act differently depending on where it lands.
Think of it like sharing a schedule with a friend. You can hand them a printed copy, or you can send them a link to the live version. The printed copy is theirs to keep, but it won't change when the schedule does. The link always shows the latest. Some ways of adding events give you the printed copy. Others stay connected with updates and even future events added.
We're working hard to keep more of your events connected. For Google Calendar, we built our own direct connection.
Here's what each option does today:
| How you add events | What happens | Updates if the schedule changes? |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Calendar button | Opens each event in Apple Calendar so you can add it. It's a copy. | No |
| Subscribe to the calendar feed | Your calendar app adds the events as a calendar feed | Yes, and new events are added too. Changes can take 24 to 48 hours to appear. |
| Calendar invite | Agenda Hero emails you calendar invites for your events. | Yes |
| Google Calendar | Events are added to your Google Calendar. | Yes, for events you've already sent, within about 15 minutes. New events need to be sent again. |
| Agenda Hero calendar | Events are added to your Agenda Hero calendar. | Yes, immediately |
If you use Apple Calendar and want changes to come through on their own, subscribe to the calendar feed or get a calendar invite instead of using the Apple button.
What is the Library?
The Library is where you see and manage your Agenda Hero calendars on the go.
Is the Agenda Hero app free?
Yes, the app is free on iPhone and Android. You can also still use Agenda Hero Magic on the web at agendahero.com/magic. Paid plans add extras like a shareable public calendar link (Plus) and text message reminders for your family (Family).
Quick questions
Can I add a whole season or schedule at once?
Yes! This is why we exist. Upload the entire schedule and you can add events one at a time or all at once.
If someone moves an event or makes a change, will my calendar update?
It depends on how you added it. If added using Google, subscribing to the calendar feed or emailing yourself a calendar invite you will get changes automatically. Events added with the Apple Calendar button are copies and won't update.
