Create events from text

Paste a schedule, an email, or a note to create events. What to include: duration, time zone, and repeats.

Paste text into Magic to create a set of events. Magic can only use what the source states, so the details below are worth adding if they are missing.

Duration#

If the source gives a start time but no end time, state how long events run. Without an end time, Magic applies a default duration.

Time zones#

Magic uses a time zone named in the source. When the source does not name one, it uses your browser's time zone.

State the zone when the events are not in your browser's: a schedule for another region, a trip, or a call with people elsewhere. Name it in your prompt or in the additional context field.

For an itinerary that crosses zones, state which zone each leg is in. Departure and arrival times on a ticket are local to each airport.

Repeating events#

Describe the pattern in words, such as "every Tuesday until the end of May". A source that lists only the first date produces a single event.

More than one event at a time#

Paste a whole schedule and Magic returns every event it finds in it.

Getting the events to other people#

Magic does not invite anyone. Two things do:

• Sending to Google. The export form takes email addresses, and Google Calendar sends the invite from your account. See Send events to an external calendar.
• Adding to a shared calendar. Everyone with access to the planner sees the events. See Add events to an Agenda Hero calendar.

Editing the results#

Every field is editable before you add anything to a calendar. Events can be edited individually within a batch, or across the batch with Magic Chat.
