Share a planner

Publish a link anyone can open, invite editors and viewers, or share a planner across a workspace.

Share in the planner header opens the sharing controls. It is not shown in the published view.

Turn on Anyone with the link can view to publish the planner. The link appears once it is on, and turning it off unpublishes it again.

Only the owner can change this. Collaborators see the switch and its state but cannot flip it. Publishing requires Plus. A planner that is already public can always be turned back off, whatever the plan.

Custom URL

The owner can replace the generated address with one of their own. This also requires Plus. Collaborators can copy the link but not change it.

Collaborators

Invite people by email address, separating several with commas. Each collaborator is a Viewer or an Editor, and the role can be changed later.

The owner can transfer ownership or remove someone's access. A collaborator can remove their own access by leaving.

Free includes 2 collaborators per calendar. Plus removes that limit.

Workspace access

A planner homed in a family or business workspace can be opened to that whole workspace under General Access:

  • Restricted: only people with access can open it.
  • The workspace name: anyone in that workspace can view or edit it, depending on the role you set.

A planner in a personal workspace shows a link to move it into a shared one instead.

Sharing and adding to a calendar are separate

Publishing the link does not by itself let visitors add events to their own calendars. That audience is set under Send to calendar in schedule settings. When the two disagree, the share panel says so and links to the setting.
