Views and layouts
Add a view, change its layout, and set what each event card shows. Views are ways of showing one set of events.
A view is one way of showing the planner's events. Adding, changing, or deleting a view does not change which events the planner holds.
Interactive and printable
Every view is one of two kinds.
- Interactive: on screen, clickable, and resizes for mobile.
- Printable: laid out to fit on paper, and updated automatically as the events change.
Several layouts are offered as both, so the same week can exist once on screen and once on paper.
Layouts
| Layout | Shows |
|---|---|
| Month | A monthly calendar grid |
| Week | A weekly calendar view |
| Week columns | Seven equal day columns, side by side |
| Cards | Event cards with details |
| List | Compact rows, one event per line |
| Side by side | An image beside the event cards |
| Grid | Month cards, three or six per page, or all twelve on one page |
| Printable list | A printable list with configurable grouping |
Adding a view
In Views, choose Add a view, filter by interactive or printable, and pick a layout. View as in the planner header switches between the views you have.
Free includes 2 views per calendar. Adding more requires Plus.
Changing an existing view
Change layout on the view swaps its layout and keeps its place in the planner. The panel previews the result on the page before you commit it.
What each view shows
The settings below apply to the view you are on, not the whole planner.
Show on this view controls what appears on an event: emoji, start time, end time, location, description, category color, the color legend, whether long titles are truncated, and text size.
Display controls the view itself: dates in the primary color, shading weekends, muting weekend dates, highlighting today, which day the week starts on, and how events are grouped.
Header controls the section above the events: whether it shows at all, a page banner image, the title and its size, a description, an author line, and a logo.
Which of these appear depends on the layout. A control that a layout cannot draw is not offered on it.
